Mosque invaded by armaments


Another example of a Mosque – this time the design of the architecture is a little less coherent than other examples – and while the Mosque is not framed by major items of equipment (like helicopters – presumably Soviet) in such an eloquent manner as the rug below, arms of various kinds surround and invade the space of the building. War rugs such as these seem to show the everyday reality of a society where the evidence of militarisation invades every corner of experience, and therefore war, religion, and daily life become inextricably linked.
